Welcome to Issue 14, our 1st issue for 2025.

Why have we taken so long to release another issue? It’s tempting to say, “Because good things take time.” However, that would be straight up obfuscation!

We’ve been looking at all that we do to ensure that we are not just pumping out issues but actually doing something that is making an impact rather than just inspiring people.

We’ve also been building collaborations with like minded people and organizations who share the same values, so that we can elevate this from a passionate hobby to a sustainable, impactful business, while climbing off the pages and into a venue near you.

Watch this space.

Oh yeah, we’ve also been going to some events and meeting and greeting some great people in our community!

...People like the Addai brothers and PR Specialist, Francesca Stainer, featured in this issue.

Matthew, Jonathan & Nicholas are quiety and deliberately changing the way we shop using their tech enabled platform, Cashblack. And you get paid for using their platform to shop. What’s not to like?

With the Cashblack team’s help we’re Spotlighting 10 Products to Buy & 10 Plates to Eat from their platform.

We’re joining David C Hall’s Potential Unlocked Awards and Mahari Hay’s & Mexy Thomas’s Community, Corporate & Culture Awards to congratulate some award winners in Spotlighting 10 People.

Christina Belloge from Melanin Travels Magic is back Spotlighting 10 Places to Visit in Africa & The Caribbean.

If that wasn’t enough, we have great contributions from Vee Roberts, Ejike Ndaji, Bawo Ikpobe and, of course, regulars Nicola Millington and the one and only Eric Collins.

Please do enjoy this issue!

We 3 Kings

Sharing Gifts for Shopping Black-Owned

Meet the Addai Brothers

Matthew, Jonathan, and Nicholas, are the driving force behind Cashblack, a platform designed to uplift Black-owned businesses and empower the Black community.

Their innovative approach combines e-commerce with social responsibility, creating a unique platform that benefits both consumers and businesses.

The inspiration for Cashblack sparked in 2020 amidst global racial tensions and conversations surrounding the racial wealth gap. Matthew, previously working in finance, witnessed these issues firsthand and sought a way to make a positive impact.

Professional Profile

Meet Francesca Stainer

PR & Communications Manager

How did you first get involved in your field?

I’ve always been a mix of creative, analytical and data driven.

At school I felt torn between careers that were seen as either one or the other. I thought being a journalist would suit my creative side, as I loved writing and read English Literature at University.

I managed to secure internships at a newspaper and quickly started interacting with PR’s, which is where I saw how both sides of my brain could come into play, and I’ve been on this journey for 10 years now.
