Iyanu - Child of Wonder, a groundbreaking show, steeped in rich Nigerian culture and mythology, is set to captivate audiences worldwide.

The show transports viewers to the enchanting kingdom of Yorubaland, a world steeped in Nigerian culture, vibrant music, and ancient mythology.

The series centers on Iyanu, a spirited teenage orphan who, while immersed in the study of Yoruba history and ancient arts, yearns for a life of normalcy. When danger strikes, Iyanu unwittingly unleashes her divine powers, a force unseen since the Age of Wonders. Embraced with newfound superpowers, Iyanu joins forces with two fellow teenagers, embarking on an extraordinary journey to unravel the sinister forces threatening her homeland. Along the way, she will confront the mysteries of her past, her parents, and her ultimate destiny to save the world.

The series is the brainchild of Roye Okupe, who will also contribute his creative vision as Showrunner.

Saxton Moore, will serve as co-supervising director along with Vincent Edwards, ensuring the series' artistic integrity.

Brandon Easton will lead the writers' room, crafting compelling narratives that resonate with global audiences. The series boasts a stellar lineup of executive producers, and includes Roye Okupe, Lion Forge’s David Steward II and Matt Heath as well as Impact X Capital’s Erica Motley.

The first episode of this highly anticipated animated series premieres on Cartoon Network on Saturday, 5th April and is available on Sunday, 6th April on Max and Showmax.

We are certainly hoping that the show reaches UK audiences sometime in 2025.
